She is a recent graduate from Rhode Island School of Design, where she majored in Illustration. She grew up in Los Angeles, California with my family of six who are the main supporters of my artistic career. Currently she live in Brooklyn working as an artist/illustrator and also as a gallery assistant in New York City.
As an artist, she enjoy taking the memories and histories of others and interpreting them as my own images. She strive to create a sense of two-dimensionality within my work by flattening out large and compact crowds, utilizing them as a mere decorative aspect. She is captivated by small and intricate details and use them to enhance the realm of my characters. In particular, she is drawn to depicting costumes and scenes of social life from the 1920’s to the 1950’s.
After receiving a wonderful education and introduction into the illustration world at RISD, she has found that one of her ultimate goals is to have the ability to transport the viewer from their reality to her vision. She wishes for them to become immersed within my images and feel as if they have momentarily entered into another time, another place, an age-old era.
