Direktorenhaus, one of Berlins’s most vibrant centres for applied arts and culture, becomes the major new destination for the 8th Illustrative Biennale of Illustration and Graphic Arts, showcasing an exciting programme of events during the Festival. Within the historic setting of Direktorenhaus will be exhibitions showcasing collaborations between internationally renowned illustrators and graphic artist an a presentation of the winning entries from the Young Illustrators Award 2015.
Established in 2006, the Illustrative Biennale has attained a reputation as one of the most innovative events in the world of illustration and graphic arts. This year the Festival will again celebrate and promote Berlin as the art capital, creating a platform for inspirational art and craft initiatives. Over 50 events and installations will be on offer across the city, from a stimulating programme at the Direktorenhaus to a series of installations and exhibitions in the public area.
